Located in Treasure Beach, on the south western coast
of St. Elizabeth Jamaica, Shakespeare Cottage is centrally located,
yet remains a quiet laid back destination.
Shakespeare Cottage can accommodate families or individual needs;
boasting 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a separate cottage also
located on the property with complete privacy. In the main house there is a fully
furnished kitchen with all of the necessary appliances, cooking and eating utensils
that you could possibly need. Each room has bed(s), a fan, lighting, and a bureau.
We do not find hot water necessary as the hot Jamaican sun warms it enough for comfort.
You are welcomed to relax in the delightfully furnished living room
which has a television, VCR, and books to read.
There is a dining area with large table suitable for 6+ people.
Shakespeare Cottage is a fantastic place to spend lazy days
lounging on the verandah, tanning on the "sun platform" or just gazing at the
mountain view. The hypnotizing sound of the waves crashing on
the sea shore can be heard as if it were in our yard. The beach is just
a one minute walk from the cottage, and the ocean can be seen from the front door!
After your visit to the beach, feel free to rinse off underneath our outside shower.
Shakespeare Cottage is a safe and secure, Jamaican family owned establishment
which the Lewis family has owned since February 14th, 1968. There's always
a family member around to answer your questions, give you advice or
just sit down for a little reasoning.
